cincinnati microwave inc – The Girls

The Girls of Cincinnati
The Girls of Cincinnati
Eli Brilliant is a dreamer, last of the romantics. He failed to make it in New York as an actor, so now he?s back home in Cincinnati. He runs a boiler room, a telephone soliciting operation for Harry?s Carpet City. (He is wise to the joke.) That?s where he gets most of his girls and his reputation as a ladies? man par excellence. He hates the job and he hates that reputation. He is crazy about one particular girl, the debutant Stephanie Eaton.

These two, Eli and Stephanie, keep falling in and out of love. Can?t seem to put it all together. But that?s all he thinks about — Stephanie. Finally, after a trip to LA, Stephanie returns to him seemingly for good, but again something goes wrong, really wrong. Eli has hired a new girl for his boiler room, Sonja Frick, and she is quite deranged.

Sonja claims to be clairvoyant, and may well be. From the start, she puts Eli on notice that something evil will come upon this love of his life, Stephanie ? a fate even worse than death.
